I’m really looking forward to working in Partnership with Ten10 Medias this year!

NICKY GRIST STAGES 2022
Saturday 9th July 2022
It was an extremely heat filled and dusty event at the Quinton Motor Club Nicky Grist Stages 2022 for Liam Griffiths & Dan James in the Presteigne Tyres Services backed Ford Fiesta ST.
The temperature was soaring and so was the pace in the morning. The pair set quickest times in their class until Stage 4 where the ABS sensor had a fault had dropped the power down to limp mode, they got towards the end of the stage where they caught dust of the cars in front, when they got to the stop line there were 4 cars in front of them that all arrived just before them.
They reached mid-day service where the service crew quickly fixed the issue and were ready to go back out again!
The afternoon loop started off extremely well with a big push in first 3 stages with a 37th quickest overall time on the rerun of Halfway. Going in to the second run of Crychan the pair were just 19 seconds back from first in class. The stage was set for another big push but it was not to be, the pair suffered a tyre coming off the rim 4 miles in to the 9 mile stage. The pair stopped to change it unfortunately they had an issue with the Jack which resulted in the car dropping down and damaging the front right disc and limped to the end with break issues.
A difficult rally but loads of positives to take away!
The next event for the pair will be the newly names Phil Price Memorial Woodpecker Rally 3rd September.
